If it’s your own wrist, is it still homophobic? When asked what part he would re-do if he could, Gosling explicitly mentioned the scene from La La Land that became the poster—him and Emma Stone dancing together with their arms extended—in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal.

It appears that Gosling is not fond of the fact that he bent his wrist rather than keeping his arm in the straight line, resulting in an angle that “killed the energy.”

Naturally, having a bent wrist is a universal symbol of being gay (ask Cate Blanchett), thus Gosling’s queer little wrist was an important piece of representation.

He continues by calling it his “La La Hand,” which is merely a derogatory term for his young gay nephew and sounds like something a southern aunt would say. The gay little wrist has been contacted for comment. There is only one option for Gosling to make amends with the LGBT community, and that is to play a part in Joel Kim Booster’s upcoming film.
